SHEEN’S COVID-19 POLICY

Here at Sheen’s we look forward to working with you in a socially responsible and safe way in facilitating your move. We ask for your cooperation during this time enable us to keep both yourselves, other clients and our staff safe.

As a company we will ensure that our staff adhere to the guidance issued. As clients we would ask you to do the same to help us maintain social distancing rules.

 

General Advice

Please inform us immediately should any of the following apply to yourself:

  • You are experiencing or have experienced COVID-19 or Flu like Symptoms in the past 14 Days (A persistent cough or Raised Temperature).
  • You are in any of the designated vulnerable groups
  • If you are currently shielding or self Isolating
  • If you have come into contact with anyone who is positive for COVID-19 or experienced Symptoms

If any of these apply we need you to be honest with us, so that we may take the correct action which may involve us being unable to undertake our business contact with you.

 

Visiting Our Offices

Should you wish to visit our offices, we are currently working on an appointment only basis as our teams will initially be working behind closed doors. We are currently setting up the office to have a safe area for you to speak to a member of staff face to face behind a screen. Visitors will be limited to two people from the same household and Hand sanitiser will be provided. We can also carry out video calls, emails, WhatsApp conversations and virtual viewings if you would prefer not to visit the office premises.

 

Viewers Advice Upon Attending A Viewing

  • Please inform us immediately if you have been unwell so we may cancel and reorganise.
  • Viewings may only be attended my a maximum of 2 Adults aged 18 or over.
  • No Children may currently attend at this time.
  • Attending viewers must be strictly from the same household.
  • You will need to use your own transportation as Sheen’s staff can no longer offer a lift service.
  • Please wear a face mask or face covering (home made acceptable). Mask are advised to protect one another so our agents/vendors will also be wearing one to protect you also.
  • Please bring your own hand sanitiser which we ask you to use before and after the viewing.
  • Do not touch any surfaces, door handles or light switches in the property. If you would like something opened then please request this to be done by the seller/agent.
  • Maintain at least 2 metres between yourselves and the agent/vendor.

We will aim to have the viewing complete within 15-20 minutes so if there are any questions you have which could be asked after the internal viewing, please try and do so.

 

Vendor Advice On Carrying Out A Property Viewing

  • Please inform us immediately if you have been unwell so we may cancel and reorganise.
  • Please give the door handles and surfaces a thorough clean before and after each viewing.
  • Wash you hands before and after the viewing.
  • Please wear a face mask or face covering (home made acceptable). Mask are advised to protect one another so the viewer/accompanying agent will also be wearing one to protect you also.
  • Open all internal doors and put on all lights before the viewing starts.
  • Open windows to maximise ventilation.
  • We would advise only one adult to be present for the viewing on behalf of the vendor.
  • If your property has other occupants or pets, we would advise they preferably vacate the property. If this is not possible then please designate them to a closed door room whilst the viewing takes place, then swap rooms once visited to avoid contact.
  • Maintain at least a 2 metre distance between you and the viewer.
  • Try to complete the viewing in 15-20 minutes.
  • Open any external doors for the viewers so they do not have to touch anything in the property.Vendor Advice For Undertaking Of A Market Appraisal
  • Please inform us immediately if you have been unwell so we may reschedule our visit
  • Please give the door handles and surfaces a thorough clean before and after our visit
  • If you can open all internal doors and turn on all room lights, this will allow our valuer to inspect the property and help us avoid touching surfaces unnecessarily.
  • Open windows to maximise ventilation.
  • Our valuer will be wearing a face mask so if you could also do the same (home made acceptable).
  • Maintain at least a 2 metre distance between yourself and the valuer.
  • If you are happy too we would advise to adjourn to a garden, outside space whilst we take a look around the house.
  • If you feel you are strongly considering going onto the market then please let us know before the visit as we may be able to undertake the photographs and floor plan at the same time to limit visits to yourself.
  • If you are happy after our internal inspection, we can discuss the valuation in an outside space or we can organise to call you on the phone to discuss everything in more detail.
  • Ideally one adult to be in the property with children/pets not present where possible.
  • Our valuer will sanitise their hands before every visit.

We would advise hand washing before and after our visit.

 

Vendor Advice For Third Party Visit

Occasionally there may need to be a visit from a third party like a property surveyor, Domestic Energy Assessor for the EPC or a builder to obtain any quotes. If so we also advise the following:

  • Please inform us immediately if you have been unwell so we may reschedule their visit.
  • Please give the door handles and surfaces a thorough clean before and after their visit.
  • If you can open all doors for where they may need access to and turn on lights.
  • Maintain a 2 metre distance.
  • We will ask any visiting Third Parties to adhere to social distancing rules and to keep us informed if any changes to their health after organising their appointment so we may rebook.

Ideally limit the number of occupiers, pets and children to 1 Adult where possible.

 

Advice Given To Sheen’s Staff

To reassure our clients we are asking the following of our staff:

  • To check their temperature each day before work and to self isolate if they have a raised temperature.
  • To make sure they are free of any COVID-19 related or flu like symptoms.
  • To self-isolate if themselves or anyone In their household has any COVID-19 related or flu like symptoms.
  • To maintain excellent hand hygiene including regular hand washing and hand sanitation before and after every appointment.
  • Maintain social distancing whilst undertaking work in office and on appointments.
  • Give honest and transparent advice to clients who may have concerns about moving going forwards during the easing of the government lockdown restrictions.
